Each training site assigned a DFIRST system is also provided a dedicated DMSM. Currently all Mission Support Managers are prior service military members who understand all aspects of meeting Commanders training requirements.

The DMSM maintains the equipment and performs minor repairs. He provides Commanders and their trainers advice on how best to integrate DFIRST in support of their training objectives, and also, operator training for the soldiers.

The DMSM is with the soldiers all the way through vehicle/DFIRST installation, conduct of the exercise, and equipment turn in.

There is no additional cost to the unit for this support.
